Doug Laustsen is a musician and educator originally from New Jersey and currently living in Austin, TX.

He creates music that intersects with technology, whether its presented in novel ways like an array of forty-eight speakers, or reactive to the weather in real time. He’s also made more traditional music for performers. Over the years he’s also played trombone in many groups ranging from Italian feast bands to ensembles that improvise to text prompts.

He also works as an arts educator privately and with Austin Soundwaves. A long time ago he did a college radio show for almost a decade. When not making music, he’s often making beer or watching really terrible police dramas.
